Gavin Wright has over 25 years experience in the Transport, Mining and Civil Construction industries.
Starting out driving a cattle truck, running all over Australia, from the North Kimberly to abattoirs in Melbourne, and Adelaide and all states in between.
After retiring from driving he became the Manager of one of the largest mining transport fleets in the country, eventually managing one of the biggest mining contracts in Australasia at the time.
Gavin has been the driving force behind the Growth, Compliance and Success of some of the largest Transport and Logistics Company's in Australia.
The combination of Industry knowledge, a thorough understanding of the ISO and NHVAS Standards, and the added ability to train your staff in all areas of the Standards, gives Gavin the rarest of skills as a Certification and Business Systems Consultant.
Marketing & Development Manager
Mandy Postle joins the WBD team as Marketing and Development Manager, having recently moved to the beautiful Millaa Millaa area where alongside her husband they run a small cattle property. Having lived in Townsville for the past 16 years owning and operating a highly successful photography & videography business it was the love of the land and the peace and tranquillity of a country upbringing that has seen Mandy and her husband move back to the rural lifestyle.
Mandy has a Bachelor of Communication Design and also owns and operates her own graphic design business bringing a fresh, new approach to WBD. These skills, honed from industry-based experience, provide WBD clients with expert grant writing, tender preparation and advisory services, with an enviable reputation for efficiency, honesty, integrity and professionalism. Mandy’s extensive experience in grant writing, and professional business support, provides WBD with business acumen and a practical understanding of project implementation to ensure our clients prepare strong cases for support that can be affordably delivered by the organisation. Mandy is ‘the backbone’ of WBD, providing the Director with personal and professional support, while servicing WBD clients with delivering our clients the benefits of skilled communication and a strong understanding of what funding bodies are seeking when they evaluate grants and tender opportunities.
In addition to grants and tenders, Mandy is directly responsible for the professional development and promotion of the WBD Brand, a skill embellished by Mandy’s skill and expertise in Communication and design.
Mandy is highly valued as WBD’s most detailed and critical assessor, focusing on research, development, planning and submission for project funding for regional, local government, community and not-for-profit organisations, which is one of WBD’s core business activities.
Sharee Andrews comes into the team as Executive Assistant. With experience in Administration and Personal Assistance and a Certificate in Business, Management and Business Administration, Sharee’s role as Executive Assistant compliments the skills required to assist Gavin and streamline the process towards Business and System development and Project Management. Having spent time working in law, Local Government and various small businesses, Sharee brings various professional skills that will ensure compliance when building your business system. As Executive Assistant, Sharee is responsible for assessing and providing feedback on key strategic decisions along with administrative and clerical support to the Director, managing scheduling conflicts and ensuring communication with clients.
External of work, Sharee plays touch football at various levels and helps run the family farm of 100 Droughtmaster breeders on the beautiful Windy Hill with her partner and 2 kelpies.
